Ideally located in the heart of the park of Morvan (see on a map), Planchez offers its visitors many activities and walks in fantastics natural landscapes. 

The Morvan, mountainous zone of medium altitudes ranging from 400 to 700 m with the culmination of the High Folin to 901 m, is a hilly region with deep valleys where streams and rivers flow. Covered with forests surrounding many lakes and ponds, the Regional Natural Park of Morvan also presents a bocager by shrubs that divide the fields and meadows.
